Fatal or disabling injuries continue to result from workers falling from the scaffolding that has been misused or poorly constructed on a construction site. The training will teach employees to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used. They should also understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards. Our easy to use platform allows you to obtain a Scaffolding Safety training certificate recognized by employers who strive to meet the demands of the legislation. ## Course modules 1. **Introduction to Scaffolding Safety Training** (35min) — This introductory module will cover topics such as: scaffolds definition and components, safety tips and responsibilities. 2. **Types of Scaffolds** (40min) — Depending on the need of the construction, the scaffolding tends to vary. This module discusses the variety of Scaffolding Types, which are popularly used in different types of constructions. 3. **Erecting & Dismantling Scaffolds** (45min) — Scaffolds should always be erected under the supervision of a competent worker. Although scaffold systems vary between manufacturers, certain fundamental requirements are common to all scaffold systems. This module provides valuable knowledge about the assembly and disassembly of scaffolds. 4. **Scaffold Platforms** (40min) — When it comes to selecting the platform material, the weight of the workers, tools, and materials must be assessed. This module will cover the basic requirements concerning scaffold platforms. 5. **Scaffold Safety** (35min) — This module provides valuable information concerning scaffold hazards and how to avoid them, as well as how to select and inspect scaffolds. ## Frequently asked questions ### What's the difference between Online and Blended Training Courses? Courses marked as online training usually require only theoretical training and evaluation to be compliant. Specific courses marked as blended training may require workplace-specific hands-on practical evaluation. For such classes, our platform will provide you with theoretical training and evaluation, which you can do online, and a certificate will be issued for that part. On top of that, we also provide you with templates/resources needed to complete the workplace-specific training. However, the evaluation part of this process is done by a competent person from or contracted by your company. A workplace supervisor or employer usually fills this role. ### How can I find my certificate? In most cases, this question is addressed to us by individuals who took their training with a different company. As a private company, we can only store and access our customers’ data. Therefore, if you did your training with another company, you must contact them to receive a copy of your certificate. No. We currently do not provide such services, and we have no plans to do so. ### Are eSafetyFirst courses recognized in the industry? Trained professionals have developed all our courses following Canadian Safety Standards to provide participants with the necessary knowledge of hazards and safe workplace environments. These courses are developed to meet and exceed the OHS Standards and the latest CSA Standards. Therefore, they are recognized by OHS and Worker Compensation Boards. ### How can I create an account on eSafeteyFirst? A customer account is created in the checkout process, where you will be asked, among other billing details, for an email & password. If you purchase our courses for your employees, you do not need to create an account for each. When a course is purchased, there are two options following the course name: i) “Start Course”, which will begin the presentation under the name set in the checkout process. ii) “Train Someone Else”, which in return will ask the user to enter these details: first name, last name and (optionally) email address of the worker who is supposed to be assigned the course. If the customer who paid for the program doesn’t need the training and, respectively, the certificate, the customer would have to click on the “Train someone else” option and complete the required information. ### What's the difference between Online and Blended Training Courses? For example, if you pay for 30 courses but end up using only 20, the remaining 10 credits will be available in your account until you use them, without having an expiration date. ### Is there a cost difference between the three training options? **No.** There is no difference in cost when choosing between **Individual Training** , **Group Training** , and **SCORM Dispatch** . The difference is in how the training is delivered and which option best fits your company’s setup and needs. eSafetyFirst states that training- option selection uses the same course credits, so the cost does not change based on the option you choose. ### Can I import your courses into our LMS? For example, you can not use this option unless you have a minimum of 20 available credits for the targeted course. Once you meet this minimum requirement, you will go through a step-by-step process available in your account to create your SCORM export file and decide how many individuals you wish to train using this system. Your account will display how many remaining credits you have in this dispatch, and you can add/remove seats as you wish. Invited workers will be displayed in your Manage Users tab from your User Panel, and you can download their certificates from here whenever you wish to. ### What payment options are available?
